The UCI BMX Supercross World Cup is the premiere BMX racing series in the world and serves as the main qualification event for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. Each stop of the tour features 250 of the worlds best male and female BMX riders from over 30 countries. Our task was to bring BMX Supercross race series to the masses by broadcasting all the events live on the web, making it available to anyone with a phone, tablet or computer, making BMX Live TV the hub for the sport of BMX SX.
I worked on the team to redesign and develop the new BMX LIVE TV site, a cloud-based, scalable solution that can handle the influx of traffic during events, but keeps costs low when traffic is down. The site hosts live events and curated videos, which are uploaded and encoded through an admin panel. Now in its fourth season, BMX Live TV has been viewed from over 100 countries.
